摘要
Objective: To study whether ecdysterone (EDS) could affect proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Methods: The experiments were performed in culture of vascular endothelial cells (VEC) in vitro and in method of MTT measurement and flow cytometry for observing proliferation of cells. Results: (1) EDS was able to affect the metabolism of MTT of HUVEC: (2) EDS exhibited a dose-dependent effect on output of formazan-waste product of MTT: EDS accumulated formation of formazan in 25-400 mg L-1, and reduced the output of formazan above 800 mg ~ L-1: (3) EDS increased proliferation index of HUVEC in dosage of 200 mg L-1. Conclusions: EDS is able to stimulate preliferation of VEC dosage dependently.
