Studies on the coating by in situ for liquid polybutadiene: II. Formation of electroactive aluminium ions and effect on electrocoagulation and polymerization of PBA

The dissolving rate of naked Al anode in polybutadienoic acid(PBA)solutions containing various concentration and pH at 40��60��C has been determined by methods of electrometry and gravimetric. It is documented that the forming conditions of electroactive Al (I) ions and their electrocoagulating and polymerizating principle for PBA. The results indicate that the optimal condition of electrocogulation and polymerization of water-soluble non-saturable low polymer is generating electrochemically the electroactive alumium ions in 1. 0 g �� L -1PBA+0. 6 mol �� L -1C 6H 8O 7Solution at 60��C and pH = 3. 0. The electrocoagulating and polymerization mechanism of electroactive Al is simply discussed in this paper.
