The role of RhoC in ovarian epithelial carcinoma: a marker for carcinogenesis, progression, prognosis, and target therapy.

•Up-regulated RhoC expression might have impact on ovarian carcinogenesis, differentiation and progression of ovarian carcinoma.•RhoC plays an important role in apoptosis by modulating relevant genes, involved in the phosphorylation of downstream p70 s6k protein.•RhoC knockdown lowered p-p70 s6k expression, there was positive correlation between RhoC and p-p70 s6k expression in ovarian carcinoma (p<0.05).
