Reference intervals of D-dimer during the pregnancy and puerperium period on the STA-R evolution coagulation analyzer.

•Established gestation-specific reference of D-dimer in Chinese normal pregnant women•D-dimer level increased in normal pregnancy and peaked at the first postpartum day.•Ruling out pregnancy-related VTE and DIC need gestation-specific reference interval.•D-dimer level reduces quickly in 3days after delivery and then decreases steadily.•The level of D-dimer does not decrease after delivery may be thrombotic disease.
