Chemical constituents from metasequoia glyptostroboides huet cheng

•Fifty-two compounds (1–52) were isolated from Metasequoia glyptostroboids.•Twenty-eight compounds were first reported from M. glyptostroboids.•The configuration of three norlignans (1–3) have only be found in M. glyptostroboids.•This finding may support the opinion of establishing Metasequoia as a monotypic genus from the chemotaxonomical aspect.
