摘要
A monolayer of new azobenzene dye of 2-Naphthalenecarboxamide, 3-hydroxy-N-(4-nitrophenyI)-4-(2-phenyldiazenyl) has been transferred onto solid substrates by the Langmuir-Blodgett technique. Tapping mode atomic force microscopy demonstrate that rod-like aggregates were formed in the pure dye films at the surface pressure more than 2 mN/m. Sheets were obtained at low surface pressure (1 mN/m). Octadecylamine and arachidic acid were used to modulate and control the structure of the azobenzene aggregates. Ultraviolet visible absorption spectroscopy studies revealed that absorption peaks of the azobenzene and its hybrid films had a blue shift. Fluorescence spectroscopy studies showed that fluorescence peaks had a red shift. These peaks shifts indicated that the azobenzene and its hybrid films formed shoulder to shoulder H-aggregates parallel.
