Catena-Poly[[(Acetato-Kappa O-2,O')[2-(4-Oxo-1,4-Dihydroquinolin-1-Yl)Acetato-Kappa O-1]Copper(Ii)]-Mu-4,4'-Bipyridine-Kappa N-2:N']

In the title compound, [Cu(C11H8NO3)(CH3COO)(C10H8N2)]n, the Cu-II ion is six-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4'-bipyridine ligands, four O atoms from one acetate ligand, one 2-(4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinolin-1-yl) acetate ligand and one water molecule in a distorted octahedral geometry. The 4,4'-bipyridine ligands interconnect [Cu(C11H8NO3)(CH3COO)] units, giving rise to a chain along [010]. These chains are further linked to each other by O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, leading to a two-dimensional supramolecular network parallel to (100).
