Load Control Strategy for Uplink TD-SCDMA Trunking System

In this paper we propose an algorithm for TD-SCDMA trunking communication system uplink load control, the algorithm controls the group user admission and the resource distribution according to the information of users’ geometry, the overload detects on the base station side and the congestion solves on the Radio Network Controller (RNC) side. On the basis of the exiting protocol standards and the characteristics of the trunking communication system, it adopts Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) voice codec to deal with the low-quality groups. The simulation results show that this algorithm provides a good performance compared to the method that without AMR.
