摘要
An in-situ microscopic observation system was designed to analyze the growth kinetics of the thin surface layers formed in the regeneration of Z-cut ADP crystals. The curves of tangential growth rate of the thin surface layers dependence of supersaturation were obtained by in-situ recording the advancement of the leading edges in the tangential direction, and corresponding kinetics coefficients were calculated. It was found that Fe3+ significantly increased the tangential growth velocity of the thin surface and speeded up the regeneration process of Z-cut ADP crystal. The fracture morphology of the thin surface layers were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and many large size defects were found. The crystalline quality of the thin surface layers grown from pure and Fe3+ doped growth solutions were evaluated by high-resolution X-ray diffraction, and the rocking curves showed no quality degradation after doped Fe3+.
