Thank you for asking me to provide an independent review of the analysis of the NYCRIS data carried out by Professor Coleman. You approached me as a well known health services researcher, who coordinated the evidence gathering and the writing of the national cancer guidance in the 1990s under the leadership of Professor Haward and someone who has worked in the field of evidence-based health care and quality improvement.
