The main vegetation types and their distribution in Urumqi.

Urumqi is located in the drought paramos central region of the Eurasia with richer and wild plant germplasm resources of arid region.To study its vegetation types has important guiding significance for understanding the natural vegetation status,its vegetation species diversity,resistance of desert plant to different environment.Accoding to the field investigation,plant sepciment and collected documents,the classification of the main plant types in Urumqi region were made.It takes natural vegetation in administrative districts of Urumqi as a research object,on the basis of the community - ecology principle,the natural vegetation in research area was divided into 7 vegetation type groups,15 vegetation types and 84 formations.and,the distribution of each formation and the characteristic of each vegetation type were discribed.
