摘要
Doling J. and Gibson J. G. (1979) The demand for new recreational facilities: a Coventry case study, Reg Studies 13, 181–190. A model for estimating the number of visits to new recreational facilities is developed based on the proposition that there exists a separate market demand curve for each type of recreation. Movement down this demand curve, which signifies an increase in the level of generated visits from any zone, occurs with increases in the supply of facilities of this type, up to some saturation level of zonal visits. Existing formulations are examined against this proposition. The model is tested using the results of a before and after study of visits to swimming baths.
