Los clusters como fuente de competitividad: el caso de la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco

The great changes that have taken place in the enterprise environment and, specially, the globalisation phenomenon, have made Public Administration to propose industrial politics for the improvement of small and medium firms' competitive. The constitution of Institutional Clusters is a measure that has been very good received. In this paper, we try to analyse the tasks developed by the clusters to improve their partners' competitive. Therefore, in first place we present the theoretic setting of the clusters development. Secondly, we study the twelve clusters that there are in the Autonomy Community of the Basque Country, as well as its contributions to the enterprises.
