An Access Monitoring Tool Based on Cookies for Course Management Systems

In this paper, we describe an application developed in our university in order to gain insight of students' interactions with an e-learning platform. Access to this information can be very useful to teachers, who can rethink the way they present their material based on students' usage patterns. The application uses cookies as the basis to identify different users. It offers a very wide range of queries as well as diagrams to represent students' interactions with the platform. The application is portable and can be easily installed at any other type of website that we need to analyze.
