Gamow-Teller Transitions In The (Li-7, Be-7) Reaction At 65a Mev

We investigated the Gamow-Teller (GT) transitions in the (Li-7, Be-7) reaction at 65A MeV on light nuclei of Li-6, C-12, and Si-28. A one-step reaction process with a main contribution from the central force is dominant in the (Li-7, Be-7) reaction at forward angles. The cross sections observed at theta(L) = 0 degrees for the GT transitions were found to be proportional to the GT strengths deduced from the beta decay. [S0556-2813(99)00210-1].
