Selevir Baraj Gölü (Afyonkarahisar)'ndeki Cyprinus carpio L. (Sazan)'nun Metazoon Parazit Faunasi Üzerine Bir Araştirma

In this study, the presence of metazoan parasites on 51 Cyprinus carpio L.1758 (common carp) was investigated in Dam Lake Selevir, Afyonkarahisar, Turkey between July 2001 and October 2003. Five parasite species were identified in the host fish species: Gyrodactylus elegans, Nordmann, 1832; Dactylogyrus extensus Mueller ve Van Cleave, 1932 (Monogenea, Plathelmintes); Caryophyllaeus laticeps (Pallas,1781), Bothriocephalus acheilognathi, Yamaguti, 1934 (Cestoda, Plathelmintes); Argulus foliaceus (L.) (Crustacea). From these species, G. elegans was found on the gills of 7 fish (prevalence: %13.7; mean intensity: 4674.0), Dactylogyrus extensus was found on the gills of 37 fish (%72.5; 13.7). C. laticeps was found in the intestine of 16 host fish (%31.3; 24.6), Bothriocephalus acheilognathi was found in the intestine of 7 host fish (%13.7; 2.7). A. foliaceus was found on the gills, fins and skin of 33 fish (%64.7; 20.9).
