130: Costimulatory Blockade Leads to Accumulation of Antigen-Specific CD4+Foxp3+ Regulatory T Cells in Vascularized Mouse Lung Allografts and Prevents Their Acute Rejection

Acute rejection following lung transplantation remains a major obstacle to the success of this procedure. Lung allografts are more immunogenic and more resistant to tolerance induction than other solid organs such as hearts and kidneys. The efficacy of costimulatory blockade to prevent graft rejection varies between organs and remains largely unexplored for lung transplants.
