In this letter, an elevated-coplanar waveguide (ECPW) is proposed for an intermediate section of a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-to-substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) transition. The ECPW is used to attain a gradual mode matching and to achieve the consequent wide bandwidth.
