Synthesize and the optical properties of quantum-confined SnO_2 nanoparticles

摘要
SnO2 quantum dots with the diameter size of 4~7 nm are synthesized by hydrothermal method.From high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) observations,the various particle size of the quantum dot has good dispersibility.The optical properties of the products were investigated by the room-temperature photoluminescence and the low-frequency Raman.PL shows that there is an intense emission peak centered at about 600 nm,which is found in all samples with different sizes and can be attributed to the oxygen vacancies defects in the band gap.From the low-frequency Raman,a low frequency Raman peak at 38 cm-1 is observed which shifts to higher frequencies with the decrease of the quantum dot size.
