Analysis of misdiagnosis of pulmonary lyphnodes in 12 patients

Objective To analyse the pathogenical features of intrapulmonary lymph nodes.Methods A retrospective review of twelves cases including 5 males and 7 females with pathologically proved intrapulmonary lymph nodes was made.The data included the clinical,radiological,bronchoscopic presentations.Results Before operation,most cases were misdiagnosed as tuberculoma,small lung cancer and metastatic tumor by chest CT(computed tomography)(50%).Intrapulmonary lymph nodes usually occurred to older people,and most of them without symptoms and were found to have intrapulmonary lumps by routine health examination.Undermicroscope,lymph nodes can be seen in lung tissue which have the folliculus lymphaticus and carbo.Conclusion The occurrence of intrapulmonary lymph nodes is rare,and it lacks specificity in clinic and chest X-ray.Intrapulmonary lymph nodes should be considered in older patients with general characteristics of benign lung neoplasm.
