This paper is concerned with the distributed simulation of wireless communication systems using a Time Warp mechanism implemented in the context of DOSE - Distributed Object-oriented Simulation Environment. Key factors of DOSE are an adoption of a light-weight object model embedded into C++, a flexible control mechanism which allows the customising of the simulation algorithm, an exploitation of PVM as a support for programming-in-the-large level. The paper first gives an overview of DOSE, then presents an effective model for simulating PCS networks, describes its mapping in DOSE terms and reports some experimental results achieved using a standard heterogeneous distributed system.
