Niacin inhibits beta chain ATP synthase cell surface expression in HepG2 cells: Mechanistic implications for raising HDL
ARTERIOSCLEROSIS THROMBOSIS AND VASCULAR BIOLOGY(2006)
摘要
125 I-labeled HDL by HepG2 cells. RESULTS: Pre-incubation with niacin reduces the surface expression of chain in HepG2 cells by 30%, and significantly decreases HDL endocytosis. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that niacin down regulates cell surface expression of the chain ATP synthase, leading to reduced hepatic removal of HDL through holo-particle endocytosis, thus implicating a potential cellular receptor site for niacin's action to raise plasma HDL.
