BISBENZYLISOQUINOLINE ALKALOIDS FROM ANISOCYCLA-CYMOSA ROOTS

Three new bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloids, (+)-2'-norcocsoline [1], (+)-12-O-methylcocsoline-2'-beta-N-oxide [2], and (+)-cocsoline-2'-beta-N-oxide [3], were isolated from cc polar fractions of the roots of Anisocycla cymosa, in addition to eight known bisbenzylisoquinoline, aporphine, protoberberine, and phenanthrene alkaloids previously reported. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods.
