VALUTAZIONE CLINICO-RADIOGRAFICA DEL COINVOLGIMENTO DELLA MANO E DEL POLSO SU DI UNA POPOLAZIONE DI PAZIENTI AFFETTI DA ARTROPATIA PSORIASICA

SUMMARY The authors analize the clinical and X-ray findings observed in a group of 52 patients with confirmed psoriatic arthritis. No significant correlation was detected joint involvement and duration of psoriatic arthritis. The so called typical lesions (onicopathy, erosions of DIP, opera glass deformities) were infrequent, while polyarthritis resembling rheumatoid arthritis was present in the majority of patients. The number of tenosynovitis was low, but synovitis, in particular of the dorsal surface of the wrist, MP and PIP joint was frequent. The authors detected also an high rate of tendon rupture, especially of extensor tendons versus flexor tendons. Finally our patients showed more intere- sting about the progression at the lower limbs rather than hand and wrist. Riv Chir Mano 2001; 38: 308-317
