摘要
Sorghum caudatum was found to be particularly rich in anthocyanidins and tannins. Quantification of apigeninidin, the main anthocyanidin present, and tannins was made in different tissues at various developmental stages. Roots, stalks and grains were found to be poor in phenolic compounds while sheaths and leaves were rich. In grains, anthocyanidins and tannins did not exceed 1.6% dry weight. In the sheaths, anthocyanidins and tannins reached 10.8% and 20.7% respectively twenty days after physiological maturation.
