Dynamic analysis on landscape pattern of Shengjin Lake region based on TM imagery and GIS.

Based on TM Data in 1987,1998 and 2004 and the topographical map of Shengjin Lake region in 1980,the land use map of the research area in three phases was obtained by using RS and ARC/INFO.Then the changes about land use and landscape pattern of Shengjin Lake region in the two periods(1987-1998 and 1998-2004) were analyzed.The results indicated that the Shengjin Lake region experienced remarkable changes both in area and spatial pattern,and the change characteristics in different periods had similarity and peculiarity with each other.Both natural factors and artificial factors contributed to the land use changes,of which the artificial factors were the dominate ones.
