The Challenge Of Working With An Evolving Media

The technology used to create virtual reality training systems is still new and evolving rapidly. This article points out some of its current limitations and the difficulty of attempting to assemble the best possible system to meet a training objective while research remains to be done in overcoming these limitations. The article then examines the contributions contained in this journal issue in light of this challenge.
