Moderate, but significant, relationship was only found between IMCA diastolic velocity and LV-SWL (r=0.56, p<0.005 for mean velocity, r=0.45, p<0.05 for peak velocity). Conclusion: In this preliminary study just a moderate, but statistically significant, correlation was found between diastolic flow velocity in IMCA (not in LDCA) and LV-SWL in patients with AVS and LV hypertrophy, in the lack of significant myocardial dysfunction at rest. These findings may contribute to a better knowledge about the intricate relationship between left ventricular hypertrophy and coronary functional adaptation in aortic patients.
