An SU(2) algebraic model is proposed forvibrational spectra of bent triatomic molecules, whereFermi resonances between the stretching and the bendingmodes are considered. As an example, the model is applied to the 142 vibrational energy levelsbelow 9000 cm -1 in the electronic groundstate of nitrogen dioxide.
