The impact of advanced airway procedures and aircraft type on rotor-wing scene times in air medical transport

Introduction: The time delay on scene necessary to perform an advanced airway procedure (AAP) during rotor-wing air medical transport (AMT) is not known. Our goal is to quantify the time impact of performing an AAP on-scene as compared to in-flight, and to determine if aircraft size impacts the location where the AAP is performed.
