High Stakes Performance Measurement, Public Reporting and Pay for Performance

The panel moderator will launch the day's discussions by delineating the context and rationale for injecting payment for performance in the health system. Participants will then engage with three panellists who will draw from their own evidence and experience regarding the effectiveness of pay-for-performance and service-based funding policies. The presentations will provide a comparative perspective on intended and unintended consequences, across three different health system settings.
