In order to simplify the calculations and the description of isothermal ternary diffusion studies, the authors have recently proposed to use a new approach that introduces the pseudobinary diffusion coefficient (D) over tilde (Ti-x). The present paper deals with the description of an isothermal section of the ternary diagram Ti-Mo-Ta by means of this coefficient. Individual influence of each component is determined by varying the composition of Mo-x-Ta-y alloys.
