General-Properties Of Hadron-Nucleus Reaction Multiplicities

A unification of the description of charged particle multiplicities in hadron-nucleus reactions is discussed. It is shown that all available shower particle multiplicity data in hadron-nucleus reactions are compatible with the formula R = 〈ns(h, A)〉〈nch(h, p)〉 = (0.12 + 0.90 〈v〉) + (1.53 − 2.29 〈v〉) 〈nch(h, p)〉−1.
