Screen-based active user authentication.

•We compute from a recording an average of the histograms of oriented optical flows.•Four interaction types are considered: MouseMoving, Typing, Scrolling and Other.•It is possible to accurately determine the type of interaction in a screen recording.•Not all interactions types result in recordings that are good at verifying identity.•The scrolling interaction can verify identity with moderately low FAR/FRR.
