A Method of Setting Radio Beacon’s Frequency Based on MCU

The paper proposed a method of designing radio beacon by using Micro-programmed Control Unit (MCU) for convenience and agility of setting the beacon’s frequency. It uses the MCU, which has Universal Serial Bus (USB) function controller inside, to communicate with Personal Computer (PC) by USB interface. The software of PC and MCU are designed and the beacon’s frequency may be set by PC online or by MCU offline. The tests confirm that the design is correct and reliable and meets the needs of real applications.
