Creep of Vitreous China: Influence of Microstructure

Creep in 4-point bend of a set of vitreous china compositions has been measured for stresses of 1 to 3.5 MPa, at temperatures between 1035 degrees and 1100 degreesC, under dry and wet atmospheres. Creep rates have been correlated with microstructure and glass composition.
