The pancreas is frequently involved during HIV infection, especially by disseminated infections or neoplasms. These lesions are generally asymptomatic and are discovered at autopsy. However, hypoglycaemia secondary to massive pancreatic infiltration by a tumour or tuberculous necrosis may occur.
