摘要
This study reports a novel electrochemical sensor to detect trace mercury based on an electrode coated by chitosan/graphene oxide/MoS2/AuNPs and thymine-Hg2+-thymine base pair. This method effectively utilizes the biocompatibility of molybdenum disulfide to DNA and constructs a detection platform for mercury ions. The electrocatalytic activity of MoS2 and the specific binding of thymine-Hg2+-thymine base pair significantly reduce the detection limit of mercury and improve the sensitivity of the electrode. When there exists Hg2+, the voltammetric current signal of redox peak decreases after the interaction between mercury and DNA. The sensor showed good linearity from 0.01 mu g/L to 4 mu g/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.991 and the limit of detection was found to be 5.8ng/L. This simple, sensitive, low cost and easy preparation electrochemical sensor has the potential application in trace mercury detection.
