P-56: Development of In-line Sealing Method for Plasma Display Panel

In this work, we have improved vacuum in-line sealing technologies for plasma display panel using the direct joint method, which need not the exhausting hole and tube. We used the glass frit and organic binder to packaging materials. Both materials were performed the sintering process before packaging to reduce out-gassing. The 4inch AC-PDPs were packaged in He-Ne(27%)-Xe(3%) ambient and emitted. And the operation properties of the packaged panel were investigated. These methods provide the simple and short time process owing to the increased conductance.
