Laboratory confirmation of first influenza A(H1N1) imported case in Guangzhou Baiyun international airport

Objective:To detect the imported influenza virus A(H1N1) case in Guangzhou Baiyun international airport.Methods:Throat swab of unknown fevered case was collected and detected influenza virus A(H1N1).Two real time RT-PCR methods including lab in house and RT-PCR,were used.Results:Real time RT-PCR of InfA,SWInfA,SWH1,MP,NP,NA and HA primers and probes were proved to be positive.RT-PCR of severn primers showed that the expected amplified fragments were produced.Conclusion:This case was confirmed to be the first imported influenza virus A(H1N1) in Guangzhou Baiyun international airport.
