Magnetic dichroism in threshold photoemission

摘要
For polarized light obliquely incident on Ni(110) with magnetization in the surface plane, threshold photoemission spectra have been calculated using a relativistic Green function method. Individual intensity peaks can be understood from the layer-resolved density of valence states by explicit consideration of spin-orbit coupling and dipole selection rules. For circular and for two types of linear polarized light, magnetic dichroism results are presented. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
