The effect of a closed system suctioning on airway pressures in an experimental model

Conclusions These data suggest that CSS should only be used with selected ventilatory settings. Comparing VC with PC we can conclude that PC seems to minimize the decrease in pressure due to suctioning, and that the Servo300 protects the patients from negative airway pressure better than the S900C.
