Photosynthetic physiology response of Kadsura longipedunculata and Ormosia pinnata under waterlogging stress

Photosynthetic characteristics of Kadsura longipedunculata and Ormosia pinnata seedlings under different waterlogging time were studied with test material of one-year-old seedling.The result showed that with increasing waterlogging time,net photosynthetic rate(Pn) of K.longipedunculata a increased after slightly fluctuated,whereas its stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci) and transpiration rate(Tr) decreased followed by a increase.Net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci) and transpiration rate(Tr) of K.longipedunculata were higher than the control at the end of experiment of 20 days waterlogging time.Net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci) and transpiration rate(Tr) of O.pinnata decreased and then increased during the experiment period,which were lower than the control at the end of experiment.Stomatal limitation value(Ls) of the both seedlings increased and then decreased.The K.longipedunculata and O.pinnata had a certain waterlogging-resistance and patience capacity to waterlogging stress and the former was stronger than the latter.
