摘要
Any attempt to save the endangered sturgeon species will depend on the availability of a sufficient stock of the fish in question, as aquaculture is a very suitable tool and has proved feasible for several sturgeon species and, additionally, it could contribute to the development of a new productive activity. The breeding of fish in captivity depends on a series of determining factors, among which the design of optimized feeding practices for the different growing phases is fundamental. In the present review we shall focus on the two species on which the most systematic studies have been performed: Acipenser transmontanus (mainly in the USA) and Acipenser baerii (primarily in France), and our experience with Acipenser naccarii.
