摘要
Development of deregulated market in Spain resulted in electricity companies to experience radical change in power and energy management. This paper focuses on voltage control at a Point of Common Coupling (PCC) in response to reactive power demand. The analysis of the potential reactive power providers is based on an example in a typical part of the Spanish network. Management of reactive power is demonstrated on the Distribution Var Trade Regulator (DVTR). The model simulation incorporates reactive power demand input and provides output as a direct control to the available reactive power equipment. The selection of the equipment that provides reactive power on demand is based on technical parameters, availability and economic parameters. Regulation of the reactive power described in the paper encompasses three forms namely annual mode including the short and long term planning, daily mode based on the prediction and historical data and real- time mode fed from SCADA providing the switching control options. The first mode is demonstrated in form of an analysis, the second through the Distribution Var Trade Regulator while the third one is yet to be developed on the basis of the first two.
