Web Mining With a Genetic Algorithm

We present in this work a genetic search strategy called GeniMiner for a search engine in the context of strategic watch. We highlight the relations that exist between Web statistical studies, search engines and optimization techniques. The user query is used to mathematically define a fitness function of Web pages.
