Wide Field of View Optics for Flat Panel 3D displays

A monocentric field lens can significantly reduce the distortion found in most autostereoscopic 3D displays at fields of view greater than 20°. With such a lens a precision diffuser can be made to combine the views from multiple projectors into an autostereoscopic three dimensional image without gaps or overlap at fields of view in excess of 100°.
