Exploitation of wild species as human food is considered a historical usage, common to all human societies. These types of exploitations of wildlife and their associated behaviours, are nowadays conditionated by the national and international regulations that protect the wild flora and fauna. In Spain, several juridical and social topics can be considered as limits to the wild species exploitation, resulting in the disappearance of some food tendencies and the modification of other, in a complex procedure of social change.
