Evaluation of Forestland Ecosystem Service in Emei Mountain City

The paper quantitatively evaluated the forestland ecosystem service value of Emei Mountain city in 2007,based on long-term located monitoring and forest resource inventory data as well as Specifications for Assessment of Forest Ecosystem Services(LY/T1721-2008).The results showed that the total value of forestland ecosystem service in Emei Mountain City in 2007 was 8.649 billion yuan,in which the value for water retention was 4.624 billion yuan,the value for erosion control was 309.87 million yuan,the value for carbon fixation and oxygen releasing was 1.012 billion yuan,the value for accumulating nutriments was equivalent to 60.45 million yuan,the value for purifying air was 182.35 million yuan,the value for forest protection was 16.86 million yuan,the value for biodiversity protection was 2.184 billion yuan,and the recreation value for forest tour was 58.75 million yuan respectively.
