Study on Relationships of Menstruation,Skeletal Age and Development of Tibetan Adolescent

Objective This paper is to investigate the relationships of menstruation,skeletal age and development of Tibetan adolescent to get regular development of Tibetan adolescent.Methods 853 Tibetan adolescent aged 11～18 years were chosen;retrospective study were conducted to investigate menstruation,to assess the skeletal age of hand-wrist by CHN scoring method,physical survey according to the Wu Ru-kang's method.Result The average age of menstruation is 13.42±1.26,there is significant difference between Lhasa and Naqu.From 11 to 15,and the skeletal age of menstruation body is 18.14,18.06,18.06,17.73 and 16.96 respectively,and the skeletal age is negative to menstruation age.In Naqu,the development of menstruation is faster than non-menstruation at the age of 12 on 13,while in Lhasa is 14 and 15.Conclusions The menstruation age is highly correlative with the development,it can be as an index to assess the development of adolescent.
